I first sat down at a jewelry bench when i was 17. I've been involved in the jewelry and gun industry ever since and have over 36 years experience.  today my focus is mainly on gun engraving and engraving education. my time is equally divided between engraving firearms in my own studio,  teaching hand engraving at the GRS Training Center in Emporia KS, and serving as a demonstrator for GRS Tools. I also serve as the Vice President of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America (FEGA). I am both a FEGA and Colt Master Engraver. I also enjoy writing for the trade with a focus on education for both beginner and advanced students and developing curriculums designed to teach students the fundamentals of engraving in a condensed time frame.  
I am currently accepting commissions on a select basis.
